Your role as an Order Picker:
As an Order Picker at Picnic, you’re the hero behind every successful delivery! Your mission? Make sure hundreds of customers get their groceries fresh and on time. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Pick & pack like a pro - Collect and pack products from coffee beans to water bottles using a pick cart and scanner. You'll easily walk up to 20.000 steps a day.
- Work across different departments:
- Ambient area for room-temperature products
- Chilled area (2-4°C) for chilled items like milk and yogurt (don’t worry, we’ll keep you warm with a jacket and gloves!)
- Freezer area involves occasional picking of frozen items at temperatures between -18°C and -24°C. This is only a small part of the assortment, but everyone should be prepared to work there when needed. Tasks include using a order picking cart and handling dry ice (protective gear provided). Each employee receives an additional 30-minute paid break (no allowance) for freezer work.
- Keep it moving - After packing, you ensure the crates are ready for shipment.
- Team up & level up - Get coaching and support from your team leader to grow your skills.
- Enjoy the extras - Free warm lunch and dinner every day, plus a chill-out space with pool and table tennis for fun breaks!
Work schedule:
At Picnic, there are two shifts:
- 06:00–15:00 - morning shift
- 15:00–00:00 - afternoon shift
- You are available for at least 5 days per week, one of which must be a weekend day, since the warehouse operates 7 days a week.
To succeed in this job, you should be:
- Committed for at least 6 months - we love consistency!
- Flexible - weekends and key weekdays are part of the deal
- Highly motivated - bring your energy every day
- Cool with the cold - work in chilled areas (2–4°C) and in freezer are (-18°C to -24°C), for which you will be provided with the necessary gear
- Comfortable communicating in English and/or Dutch
What do we offer?
- Salary: €14,99 gross/hour
- Weekly payments to your account
- Accommodation in accordance with SNF standards (max. 2 people per room)
- Additional housing allowance of €60 per week for ForeignFlex employees working at Picnic. The allowance is granted when working a minimum of 36 hours per week (Monday to Sunday), excluding periods of illness. It will not be paid in cases of unexcused absence, failure to report absence according to the applicable procedures, or when taking vacation for an entire week. This temporary incentive is valid from 20 July to 18 October.
